@dr-yash foramen lacerum doesn't transmit the internal carotid artery right ? The artery just traverses the foramen after it entes via carotid canal . Instead the greater personal nerve is the one that passes through it ?! ......please correct me if I'm wrong .....?!

Yes you are right!! Foramen lacerum closed by cartilage below so internal carotid artery can only traverse F.Lacerum..
Meanwhile greater petrosal nerve also traverse the foramen.. It doesnt enter!
